Content: teaching multicultural literature to Middle Grades. The program contains several workshops all centered around culturally diverse titles by authors such as Francisco Jiménez, Laurence Yep and Nikki Grimes. It helps understand why multicultural books are essential in and outisde the classroom, and provide an excellent platform for discussions about race, class and social justice, through author interviews and classroom visits.
